82 KZ2 drivers took part in Qualifying Practice for the second round of the European Championship at Val Vibrata in temperatures of 33°.
Session 1: Kajak – 48”630
Matheus Morgatto (Birel ART/TM) led on the second lap, Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) regained the lead on the third lap and then Markus Kajak (Maranello/TM) on the fourth. Kajak maintained his lead with a time of 48’630, followed by Mattéo Spirgel (Sodi/TM) 39 thousandths behind. Bertuca finished 3rd, a tenth behind Zoe Florescu Potolea (Birel ART/TM) and Vladimir Verkholanstev (IPK/TM). Morgatto was 6th, Kirill Kutskov (Birel ART/TM) 8th, Artem Severiukhin (Birel ART/TM) 10th and Alexandre Gladstein (Birel ART/TM) 23rd.
Session 2: Piccini – 48”596
Kimi Tani (Parolin/TM) was leading on the second lap ahead of Nicola Rossini (Tony Kart/Vortex). Alessio Piccini (Parolin/TM) then took over, followed by Marek Skrivan (IPK/TM). Both improved on the fifth lap and Piccini finished in front and on provisional pole with a time of 48”596, a tenth ahead of Skrivan. Corentin Rousseau (Birel ART/TM) was back in 3rd ahead of Robert Kindervater (Birel ART/TM) and Menyhert Kroszer (KR/TM). Daniel Vasile (Birel ART/TM) took 5th place ahead of Jean Nomblot (Sodi/TM), with Gabin Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) finishing 21st.
Session 3: Orlov – 48”643
Kasper Shoormans (Sodi/TM) led on the second lap, then on the third, ahead of Téo Blin (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Arthur Poulain (Sodi/TM). Maximilian Schleimer (Maranello/TM) moved into 2nd place. Maksim Orlov (Parolin/TM) was finally the fastest on his sixth lap in 48”643, 54 thousandths ahead of Filippo Nuccioni (Parolin/TM). Schleimer and Schoormans followed at 8 hundredths while Dmitry Matveev (KR/Iame) finished 5th ahead of Miguel Costa (Parolin/TM), Blin and Elie Goldstein (TB Kart/TM). Poulain was 15th and Tim Locati (Sodi/TM) 18th.
