On Friday afternoon, 42 drivers took part in Qualifying for the third and final round of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy in Sweden, under blue skies and a temperature of 27°.
Session 1: Herman – 51”335
Gilles Herman (BEL) was already leading on the first lap and confirmed his lead on the second. Turner Brown (USA) made his presence felt in 2nd position. Herman remained the fastest in 51”335. Ivonn Simeonova (AUT) followed at just 6 thousandths, with Brown 3rd at 14 thousandths. Erik Poulsen (SWE) was 4th at 39 thousandths, while Lilian Soares (FRA) completed the top five at 0.162”.
Session 2: Allemann – 51”017
Dan Allemann (CHE) had already clocked 51’161 on the first lap and the times continued to fall. Allemann took pole position in 51”017, Nojus Stasionis (LTU) was 2nd at 72 thousandths and Fedrik Flood-Engebretsen 3rd at 89 thousandths. Fausto Arnaudo (ARG) finished 4th at one tenth and Vanessa Silkunaite (LTU) 5th at 3 tenths.
