102 OK-Junior drivers were racing at Kristianstad for Qualifying Practice for the final round of the European Championship. The Swedish sky was full of sunshine and temperatures soared above 25°C.
Session 1: Van Langendonck – 49”910
Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) was ahead of William Calleja (Parolin/TM) and Kenzo Craigie (KR/Iame) on the first lap. Van Langendonck of the Forza Racing team made the difference on his third lap with a time of 49”910, more than 3 tenths ahead of his rivals. Archie Lovatt (Exprit/TM) set the 2nd fastest time ahead of Calleja, Ilie Crisan (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished 4th and Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) 5th ahead of Craigie. Matéo Rivals (Sodi/TM) was 15th.
Session 2: Miguez – 50”195
After two laps, Manuel Miguez (CRG/Iame) was leading in 50’195 ahead of Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame). Drew Walz (Exprit/TM) was 3rd at 0.125”, then Jack Iliffe (Exprit/TM) 4th and Arjen Kräling (KR/Iame) 5th, followed by Rocco Coronel (KR/Iame) and Borys Lyzen (Sodi/TM). Thomas Pradier (Tony Kart/Vortex) returned to the top 10, Louis Cochet (KR/Iame) was 14th, Louis Baziret (KR/Iame) 20th and Aloïs Girardet (Energy/TM) 25th.
Session 3: Baglin – 50”134
Noah Baglin (KR/Iame) started the race in the lead on the first lap and confirmed his position on the second lap with a time of 50’134. Dean Hoogendoorn (KR/Iame) followed at 4 hundredths. Devin Walz (Exprit/TM) was 3rd at 0.143”, followed by Valdimir Ivannikov (Energy/TM) 4th and Ludovico Mazzola (Birel ART/TM) 5th. Filippo Sala (LN/TM) finished 6th, Roman Kamyab (LN/TM) 7th.
