To round off Sunday morning, the Super Heat for the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship – KZ benefited from sunnier skies, with temperatures rising from 20°.
Tom Leuillet (OTK/Vortex) shared the front row with Viktor Gustafsson (CRG/TM). The outside line was once again more effective, allowing Gustafsson to take the lead from Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM), who was ahead of Leuillet. Van Walstijn took the lead on the second lap. Danilo Albanese (KR/Iame) was 4th and Giuseppe Palomba (Sodi/TM) 5th. David Trefilov (Maranello/TM) and Stan Pex (KR/Iame) battled it out for 6th position. Then Jorge Pescador (KaliKart/TM) battled with Pex while Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) looked on. At the halfway stage, the gap between the two leaders was still around 3 tenths. Gustafsson then had to watch out for the threat from Leuillet behind him. Van Walstijn took advantage of this to increase his lead to over half a second. Palomba managed to get the better of Albanese for 4th place. Van Walstijn won the race with the fastest time and a lead of 8 tenths over Gustafsson, with Leuillet hot on his heels. Palomba was 4th on the line ahead of Albanese and Trefilov. Denner had moved up eight places to 7th ahead of Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM).
