The weather was fine in Sweden on Saturday afternoon with temperatures of 24° for the OK-Junior Final of the Champions of the Future Euro Series #4 at Kristianstad. Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) shared the front row with Noah Baglin (KR/Iame). Iskender Zulfikari (Exprit/TM) followed Van Langendonck, Scott Marsh (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 3rd and Borys Lyzen (Sodi/TM) 4th ahead of Bosco Arias (KR/Iame). Dean Hoogendoorn (KR/Iame) was back in 6th, followed by Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM). Baglin made an off-track excursion and dropped back to 8th. Costoya returned to the top five and followed Lyzen in 4th place on the 7th of the 22 laps, while Zulfikari lost ground. Van Langendonck now had an 8-tenths lead over Marsh. Shortly before the halfway point, Costoya moved up to 3rd, 5 tenths behind Marsh. The gap diminished rapidly. The battle raged in the peloton with several contacts. Costoya soon took 2nd place, 1.6 seconds behind the leader. Van Langendonck had the resources to deal with the possible comeback of his rival. Baglin was back in the top 5, 6 tenths behind Lyzen. Van Langendonck set the fastest time with two laps to go and won the race 1.4’ ahead of Costoya, who set exactly the same time. Marsh was 3rd 2‘’ further back, with Baglin taking 4th ahead of Lyzen. Arias finished 6th, Hoogendoorn 7th. Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) was 11th, William Calleja (Parolin/TM) 13th, Filippo Sala (LN/TM) 17th, Rocco Coronel (KR/Iame) 22nd, Iacopo Martinese (KR/Iame) 29th, Louis Cochet (KR/Iame) 32nd and Thomas Pradier (Tony Kart/Vortex) retired at the start of the race.
