Given his results so far in OK-N Junior at Lonato, Bogdan Cosma Cristofor (Exprit/TM) was the favourite at the start of the WSK Super Master Series Final. The young Romanian was leading on the first lap, but Japan’s Sara Matsui (KR/Iame) once again showed her determination in 2nd place. Pietro Bagutti (Tony Kart/TM) was 3rd, followed by Archie Lovatt (Exprit/TM), Ludovico Mazzola (Exprit/Vortex) and Valerio Viapiana (KR/Iame). At the halfway point, the leader had a lead of 5 tenths over Matsui, who in turn had a lead of 5 tenths over Bagutti, followed by Lovatt, who was closing to within 4 tenths. The Briton soon overtook the Italian for 3rd place, while Viapiana took the opportunity to move up to 4th. The gaps narrowed between 2nd, 3rd and 4th as the race approached the finish. Matsui left a door wide open and Lovatt and Viapiana were quick to pass. However, as they battled hard, Matsui took P2 back in fine style. Cosma Cristofor won the race comfortably by 2.3 seconds ahead of Lovatt, who lost his position due to an incorrectly positioned front fairing. Matsui remained calm on the final lap despite the pressure she was under and regained 2nd place ahead of Viapiana.
