Archie Lovatt (Exprit/TM) was on the inside of poleman Alex Molota (Gillard/TM) from the very first corner. A collective collision in the field necessitated the immediate waving of the yellow flags for the slow procedure. 15 karts were stopped, including that of Andrea Manni (Exprit/TM). Bogdan Cosma Cristofor (Exprit/TM) took the lead ahead of Valerio Viapiana (KR/Iame), Lovatt, Molota and Roland Nagy (Parolin/TM). The race resumed on lap 5. Lovatt and Molota passed Viapiana to take 2nd and 3rd place. Cosma Cristofor went off in the dirt and crashed down to 5th place, allowing Lovatt to take P1 ahead of Molota. The Romanian quickly made up ground, moving back up to 3rd by the ninth lap, then moving up to 2nd on the following lap, just a second behind leader Lovatt. The margin between the two frontrunners, both members of the Forza Racing team, diminished rapidly as the light was greatly reduced by the presence of dark grey clouds at low altitude. Lovatt eventually won by 28 thousandths ahead of team-mate Cosma Cristofor. Molota was 3rd at 2.6″, Viapiana 4th and Drew Walz (Exprit/TM) 5th. On the podium, Molota took 2nd place and Cosma Cristofor 3rd. Penalised by 3” because of his front fairing, Cosma Cristofor was classified 3rd and Molota 2nd.
