Slick tyres were finally used in the OK-Junior Final of the WSK Super Master Series at Cremona, despite the presence of a few wet areas.
Filippo Sala (LN/TM) started in the lead followed by Rocco Coronel (KR/Iame), Arjen Kräling (KR/Iame) jumped up to 3rd position, Kit Belofsky (Sodi/TM) was 4th ahead of Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) and Iacopo Martinese (KR/Iame), then Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) 7th and Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) 8th. Van Langendonck quickly moved up to 3rd place and took the lead on the fourth lap from Sala and Coronel. Belosfky was back in 4th ahead of Schaufler. Van Langendonck took the lead at a frenetic pace before the halfway point. Costoya crashed out on lap 9. Coronel put the pressure on Sala, who held out until the 10th lap. Schaufler followed in 3rd position. The Austrian then took P2. Sala attacked Coronel for 4th place, which dropped the Dutchman back to 11th. Martinese had retired. Van Langendonck won the race by 2.8 seconds from Schaufler and Sala. Dean Hoogendorn (KR/Iame) had regained 14 places to finish 4th ahead of Lev Krutogolov (Tony Kart/Iame).
