Four Qualifying groups for the 98 OK drivers in the fifth round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series at PFI on a sunny Friday.
Session 1: Monteiro – 54‘’394
Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) and Tom Dussol (CRG/Iame) were leading on lap 2. Consani improved against Suleiman Zanfari (KR/Iame). Noah Monteiro (KR/Iame) then moved into the lead, followed by Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame). Monteiro remained the fastest with a fifth lap of 54‘’394, followed at 0.278‘’ by Jacob Micallef (KR/Iame), Luviwe Sambudla (KR/Iame) 3rd, Ramaekers 4th at more than 3 tenths, and Gus Lawrence 5th at 4.5 tenths. Dussol was 6th ahead of Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM), Consani 10th and Hugo Besson (KR/Iame), who rejoined after three laps, 25th.
Session 2: Turney – 54‘’423
Scott Lindblom (KR/Iame) got the better of Joe Turney (KR/Iame) on lap 2 then the positions were reversed on lap 3. Turney remained the fastest with his third lap of 54‘’423. Lindblom was 2nd by 72 thousandths on lap 4. David Walther (Tony Kart/Vortex) followed a tenth behind in 3rd, ahead of David Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame) and Dmitry Matveev (KR/Iame). Philippe Karras (LN/Iame) finished 6th and Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) 11th.
Session 3: Hanna – 54‘’632
Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) held the lead on the second lap ahead of Santino Panetta (CRG/Iame). Joseph Smith (KR/Iame) took over on lap 3 ahead of Matthew Higgins (Energy/TM). Then Salim Hanna (KR/Iame) took the lead after four laps in 54‘’632, followed by Smith by 4 thousandths. Van Langendonck was 3rd at 24 thousandths, then Eliot Kaczynski (Tony Kart/TM) 4th and Luna Fluxa Cross (KR/Iame) 5th. Kai Rillaerts (Sodi/TM) was 8th, followed by Higgins and Lewis Gilbert (Tony Kart/Vortex), then Matheus Morgatto (Birel ART/TM).
Session 4: Lloyd – 54‘’552
Jimmy Hélias (KR/Iame) was fastest on the second lap. Freddie Lloyd (KR/Iame) led on the third and fourth laps and finished in 54’552, followed at 0.161‘’ by Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM), then Lewis Francis (KR/Iame). Miguel Costa (Parolin/TM) took 4th place ahead of Hélias. Andrea Dupé (KR/Iame) was 12th.
