The race was interrupted by a red flag on the second lap when a minor incident caused an coming-together of karts to clutter up the track. The race was restarted 25 minutes later in single file under yellow flags. Jindrich Pesl (KR/Iame) led, but Joe Turney (KR/Iame) immediately attacked for 2nd place with Scott Lindblom (KR/Iame) in his wake. Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame) was 4th ahead of Fionn Maclaughlin (KR/Iame). Noah Monteiro (KR/Iame) was back in the top five ahead of Lindblom. Andrea Dupé (KR/Iame) was 7th ahead of Jimmy Hélias (KR/Iame). Turney had moved into the lead ahead of Mclaughlin and Ramaekers, then Pesl. At the halfway point, the British driver had a lead of 4.8 tenths over his Irish rival. Hélias moved up to 4th place, overtaking Pesl. Ramaekers slipped into 2nd place ahead of Mclaughlin on the 15th lap, before Hélias took over. Monteiro had moved up to 4th ahead of Mclaughlin and Pesl. Miguel Costa (Parolin/TM) and Gabriel Gomez (CRG/Iame) got into a tangle on lap 18 and retired. Anantoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) retired shortly afterwards. At the front, Hélias closed to within 2 tenths of the leader Turney and attacked him on lap 20 to take the lead. Ramaekers in turn threatened Turney. Pesl retired and a second red flag was waved. The race was not restarted and the positions from lap 23 were retained. However, Hélias was not the winner: a 5’ penalty for an incorrectly positioned front fairing relegated him to 5th place and Turney regained victory from Ramaekers, who was 93 thousandths behind him. David Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame) took 2nd place, +11 places, and Kai Rillaerts (Sodi/TM) was 4th. Dupé made a successful return to competition, with Dmitry Matveev (KR/Iame) 10th, Vivek Kanhan (Parolin/TM) 11th, Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) 14th (+15 places) and Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/Iame) 15th (+6 places).
