Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) started from pole position on the grid of the OK-Junior Final at the Slovakia Ring in the Champions of the Future Euro Series. The track was dry, with no threat of rain. The Spaniard got off to an excellent start, while Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) was relegated to 6th position. An incident cleared out the field and led to several retirements. Roman Kamyab (LN/TM) overtook Arjen Kräling (KR/Iame) for 2nd place, Harrison Mackie (KR/Iame) 4th and Noah Baglin (KR/Iame) 5th. Costoya gradually pulled away from his rivals. Filippo Sala (LN/TM) and Sebastian Minns (LN/TM) moved up to 7th and 8th places, while Baglin moved up to 4th. Kräling moved up to 2nd place before the halfway mark thanks to a pass on Kamyab. Just outside the top 10, Rocco Coronel (KR/Iame) set the fastest time. At the halfway point, Costoya’s advantage was approaching 2″. Baglin took 2nd place from Kräling and Schaufler then moved up to 4th. Scott Marsh (Tony Kart/Vortex) returned to the top five. Costoya took a magnificent victory almost 4” ahead of Baglin.Schaufler finished 3rd, Marsh was 4th (+15 places) ahead of Kräling. Coronel was 7th behind Kamyab.
