WSK Euro Series – 1/2 Franciacorta – Sunday 30th June – dry track, sun and a few clouds, 31° – OK Final – LeCont tyres
Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) immediately got into the slipstream of Scott Lindblom (KR/Iame), but Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) soon took over P2 to chase down the Swede. Kaï Rillaerts (Sodi/TM) had moved up to 4th place ahead of Markas Silkunas (CRG/Iame) and Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM). Ean Eyckmans (Birel ART/TM) was 7th. Drummond reduced the gap to Lindblom to 4.5 tenths on the fifth lap. The leader reacted by setting the fastest time of the day. Andrea Dupé (KR/Iame) was in the top 10. Jean Karras (KR/Iame) had made a good start, moving up seven places to 12th. At the halfway point, Lindblom’s lead over Drummond was less than 3 tenths, but the Fusion Motorsport driver was far from conceding defeat. Suddenly the suspense was over, Drummond retiring on lap 17. Lindblom won by almost 3 seconds ahead of the two Sodis driven by Consani and Rillaerts, who were now on the podium. Silkunas was 4th and Eyckmans 5th. Dupé finished 8th, Karras 10th and Thomas Quincé (OTK/Vortex) 23rd.
